Now that you're admin, you could put a new forum in the administration category. CLASSIFIEDS; have something to sell, list it there. Minus shipping costs, the money goes to HB, just like your ebay garage sale.

OOH! Another idea. Recently, I been making some spare cash by advertising video sales again. Hehee, most of what sells are the old original adult movies from the 70's for people living in Canada. (They have strict censoring laws up there), but have never had a single one of my packages opened & confiscated. All it really costs me is the price of a videotape & postage (last package was 5 videos to Ontario; Urotsukidoji/Wandering Kid collection, Debbie Does Dallas original, Deep Throat original, and Pandora An Erotic Trilogy. Blank videotapes were about $8 total for a box of 5, and shipping came to around $10.50 after customs forms were filled. $18.50 to fill & send the order, and he sent me $50. That's $31.50 I coulda sent Steven & all I did was spend a couple nights watching movies! The order right before that was for a guy who wanted a box of the REALLY weird adult animation I got. Think his order came to about 8 tapes, a healthy profit.

Who wants to buy a movie? Look at the forum in my sig for a thread called "Video Distribution" or something like that. There's a link in there to my video-list, and in case that goes down posted the whole thing too. Spend some time looking thru it, ya might find something you haven't seen before! (I should sticky the thread)

Minus the cost of tapes & shipping, will donate everything to Steven.

i dunno about making a new forum in the admin.
category. the reason why i started this on my
board was to see how well it did before consecrating
it to permanent HB.

remember how i said that i wasn't sure what
1quickSI would have any red tape? my problem is,
i'm concenred that people will attempt to sell
items that may cause further trouble. as i have
NO problems with what you are offering to sell,
if ever there was an admin. forum dedicated to
this, all extraneous messages would have to be
pruned and only the advertisement/listing would
be seen... which is why placing contact information
is important (which you have done).

also, please let me know how well things go
for you and your plan. i'm completely interested
in how that idea pays off. you know you can
contact me in any number of ways.

with your post on the admin. forum, i have also
added information about the ebay thing, i hope
you don't mind.

also... i was going to see how well february
did, in as far as sales for hostboard, and analyzing
that data before coming to 1quickSI about a
permanent admin. forum.

A "permanent" admin forum? When I talked to 1QuickSI at the bar, he seemed pretty loose about letting the admins do what they wanted. Hahaa, and I don't mean "loose" as in he was drunk either! He mentioned Concorde & that "FBOTM" forum, and all he really had to say was "He's an admin; and told him 'do what you want'." If you make a board to try to help out, and it doesn't work, can't you just delete it, right? Yeah, "FBOTM" had potential, but it immediately turned into 'gangs' of boardmembers voting for themselves & dissing others. Hehee, and don't think Wes's unposted interview helped the idea of HB being family-friendly either!

I'm just reading this topic for the first time.

These are similar ideas to the ones I posted on Admin (although these are a day or two before many of the ones I posted on ADM.)

Seems odd that Shatzy claims to need a job, and I foment a plan that lets her earn income from home, and she's quite hesitant about it.

Perhaps Shatzy is afraid of committment. [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]
